Participant Level Certification Opportunity
All Summer players who would like to see if they are ready to move into the next LEVEL are encouraged to participate in the Certification Opportunity. If you are ready, it is best to move up. If you are not ready, you will learn what you need to know or you will learn what behaviors or golf skills are in need of improvement.
Adult Certification Training
Certified Adults are those adults who are associated with a child in the program, have pay for and passed a background check, and have completed training. Certified adults may be on the property whenever the site is open. They may observe classes while their child's session is scheduled, they may bring their child to practice and may practice with them whenever the facility is available.....even when other supervision is not available.

Certified Adult Training will cover safety procedures, care of the facility and general behavioral expectations we have for you and the child you bring to practice. This will increase the access to the facility to those adults and children who become safety certified.

SIGN UP to Play!!! Celebration Competitions at The Player Development Complex Ten Years ago we became a Chapter of The First Tee. Since then we have held programs at numerous locations in the area and have made a positive impact in the lives of numerous children in the Greater Chattanooga Area. Quite a few are now college graduates making their way in the world as contibuting members of society. For the remaining months in 2010 we will Celebrate 10 Years of Positive Impact through special events, contests, BIG Competition and Tournaments for participants and the community. Tuesday - Friday 10 am to 7:30 pm
Saturday 10 am to 6 pm

Eagle Level Players and Players with Certified Adults may use the facility during these hours.

The First Tee Life Skills Experience

The First Tee Life Skills Experience is one of the unique features that differentiates The First Tee from many other successful junior golf programs.  Through the Life Skills Experience, participants learn valuable lessons about the importance of maintaining a positive attitude; how to make decisions by thinking about the possible consequences and how to define and set goals from the golf course to everyday life.
The First Tee Certification Process

The First Tee wants everyone who completes The First Tee Experience to have acquired basic golf skills and to be able to demonstrate certain fundamental life skill concepts – such as interpersonal communication and the importance of rules and etiquette.
The First Tee Coach

The First Tee Coach Program is an educational training program that prepares staff and volunteers at Chapters of The First Tee to deliver The First Tee Life Skills Experience, which includes the TARGET program, as well as the Par, Birdie, Eagle and Ace levels of certification.
Assistant Coach Training
The First Tee Assistant Coach Training for individuals who want to be more involved with the ongoing coaching and mentoring of The First Tee participants at the Chapter level but may not be able to spend the time required to become recognized as a The First Tee Coach.
